Nowadays, it’s common to start a story with—“it all began with a direct message.” Prior to forming a partnership with Wallace Owens and Executive Chef Stefon Rishel in 2017, Kyle Bryson had kept tabs on Chef Stefon’s rise to local fame with the opening of MAX’s Wine Dive in Fort Worth. While Kyle & Wallace were eager to tackle their next entrepreneurial venture together, they knew Chef Stefon was the missing partner for Trident Restaurant Group. Kyle messaged Chef Stefon one evening via Facebook and the rest is history.
The group’s first restaurant venture—Wishbone & Flynt—opened in January 2020 and is accompanied by adjoining speakeasy-esque bar, The Amber Room. Trident Restaurant Group is poised for growth, with plans to expand their hospitality portfolio to include approachable dining experiences throughout Fort Worth’s increasingly popular South Main district and the surrounding area during the remainder of 2020 and 2021. Concepts in progress include Tre Mogli in Ft. Worth's Southside backing up to Wishbone & Flynt and also Cast & Hook gourmet seafood.
